About these terms
These terms apply to the Palmbook app for iPhone and Android and to the website palmbook.in (together, “Palmbook”). Palmbook is run by Arun Verma, an individual in India (“we”, “us”).
By using Palmbook, with or without an account, or by buying Premium, you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. They form an agreement between you and Arun Verma. If you do not agree, please do not use Palmbook.
18 or older
You must be 18 or older to use Palmbook. The app asks you to confirm this before your first scan. Accounts found to belong to anyone younger are deleted.
By using Palmbook you confirm that you are at least 18 and able to make a binding contract under Indian law. If you are not, you may not use Palmbook.
For entertainment and self-reflection
Palmistry is a tradition, not a science. Readings are for entertainment and self-reflection. They are not advice.
The app never predicts health, illness, pregnancy, lifespan or death, and gives no medical, legal or financial advice. Do not use a reading to make decisions about your health, money or legal matters.
Readings describe how palmistry traditions interpret the lines we measure. They are not statements of fact about you, your future or anyone else, and they promise no outcome. How you use them is your own choice.
Readings and answers written by AI
Readings and answers are written by AI from a knowledge base prepared with a professional palmist. AI can make mistakes. Each line is shown with a confidence level because photos and hands differ.
If an answer is wrong or offensive, tap “Report this answer” in the app.
AI-written text can be incomplete, inaccurate or unexpected. We filter it for unsafe topics and review reported answers, but we do not check every answer before you see it.
Your photos and other people
Scan only your own palm, or another person's with their permission. Compatibility invites ask each person to agree and scan on their own phone.
Do not upload images that are not palms or that break the law. Such images are deleted and the account is blocked while we review it.
When you use Palmbook, you agree not to:
- upload anything illegal, sexual, violent or hateful, or anyone else's palm without their permission;
- try to get around the free limits, for example by making new accounts to get more free scans;
- copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or overload Palmbook, or try to reach data that is not yours;
- use Palmbook to harass, deceive or harm anyone, or pretend to be someone else.
Your account
You can delete your account at any time in the app or on the delete account page of this website. Accounts that misuse the service may be blocked.
Keep the phone number, email address or Google or Apple account you sign in with secure, as access to it gives access to your Palmbook account. We may suspend or close an account, with notice where possible, if it breaks these terms, is used for fraud or abuse, or if the law requires it. You can stop using Palmbook at any time.
Content and ownership
Palmbook, including the app, the website, their design, text, knowledge base and illustrations, and the Palmbook name and logo, belongs to Arun Verma or to those who licensed it to us, and is protected by law.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Palmbook app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, under these terms and the rules of the App Store or Google Play.
Your photos and questions remain yours. You allow us to use them only to provide Palmbook to you, as the privacy policy describes. Your readings are for your personal use; you may keep them and share them, for example with the share card.
Limits of our responsibility
Palmbook is provided “as is” and “as available”. We work to keep it accurate, safe and running, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free of errors, or that any reading is correct.
As far as Indian law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make based on a reading or an AI answer. Our total liability to you for any claim about Palmbook is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that the law does not allow to be limited, or your rights as a consumer under Indian law.
The App Store and Google Play
If you got Palmbook from Apple's App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple is not responsible for Palmbook or its content, has no duty to provide maintenance or support for it, and is not responsible for any claim about it. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Where these terms do not cover a point, Apple's standard licence for apps (the Licensed Application End User License Agreement) applies.
If you got Palmbook from Google Play, Google Play's terms also apply to your download and purchases.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of India.
If you have a problem, please write to support@palmbook.in first; most issues can be solved quickly. If a dispute cannot be solved that way, the courts in Haryana, India, with appeals to the Punjab and Haryana High Court at Chandigarh, have exclusive jurisdiction. This does not affect your right to take a complaint to a consumer commission under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
Changes to these terms
We may change these terms when Palmbook changes or the law requires it. The date at the top shows the current version. We tell you in the app about important changes before they take effect. If you keep using Palmbook after a change takes effect, the new terms apply; if you do not agree with them, you can stop using Palmbook and delete your account.
